Director of Virtualization

Client is a software company in the financial services industry with products geared towards capital markets. Client has immediate opening for a hands-on, analytical and detail-oriented leader to manage the rapidly growing Virtualization environment both local and global in scope. The position requires a diverse and in-depth knowledge of networking, hardware, virtualization and storage management. The candidate must be able to work well in a highly collaborative environment with shared responsibilities. Initiative, drive, and strategic outlook are important characteristics as the Director will be expected to identify issues or areas for improvement, suggest solutions and follow them to completion. This position promises a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast growing and entrepreneurial, global company. The applicant will have drive, a can-do attitude, and an ability to juggle a wide variety of responsibilities in a fast-moving environment. The applicant will ideally reside within reasonable commuting distance from the North Dallas office. 

Key Responsibilities

• Share in the management and direction of a rapidly expanding internal infrastructure 
• Oversee the management of the local and global virtualization components 
• Contribute to the design and management of the global Virtualization infrastructure
• Participate in the planning for high availability, disaster recovery and security 
• Responsible for driving the overall infrastructure of the virtualization solutions
• Work closely with the systems engineering teams to ensure that the needs of the organization are being met
• Develop policies and procedures along with appropriate documentation

Technical Knowledge:

• VMware ESXi 4.x/5.x 
• Virtual Infrastructure 4/5, vSphere 4/5
• VMware View
• VMware Site Recovery Manager
• VMware vCloud Director
• vKernel VOPs
• Server Hardware: Dell, HP, Cisco UCS
• Networking: TCP/IP routing 
• SAN: FC and iSCSI storage technologies
• Scripting skills – shell, batch, Powershell, etc.
• Working with and implementing recommendations from regular audits 
• BA or BS preferred
• VMware Certifications preferred
• Minimum 10 years Information Technology experience 
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing virtualization infrastructure on an enterprise scale
• Minimum 3 years’ experience project management experience

QA Analyst Position Available

QA Position Available!

The Quality Assurance analyst’s role is to develop, establish, and enforce quality assurance standards and measures within the software development organization, and perform hands-on and testing activities around quality. The QA analyst must be able to report on the state and quality of products prior to release in a quantifiable manner. This individual will work with various business units to direct and perform test development in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements over the course of software development lifecycles. This individual must develop training, innovation, and oversight to improve overall testing and quality.

We need someone who can and will:

• Lead the development, establishment, and enforcement of quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles
• Create and refine strategies for integrating manual testing
• Work with various business units to plan, choreograph, direct, and document manual testing of all applications using by leveraging existing resources and planning manual test cycles
• Ensure that software quality measures comply with regulatory standards, industry standards, and accepted best practices
• Create methodologies and processes for the collection and analysis of data for ensuring software, systems, and product quality
• Direct and perform the analysis of formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws
• Be able to read and interpret C# code
• Work independently
• Test software applications dealing with windows based WPF applications
• Test software applications dealing with web services specifically WCF
• Know and implement software testing best practices in a high-production environment

We will be looking for someone who has:

• Superior communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Expertise working in a “Microsoft shop” with Microsoft technologies
• 2+ years testing multi-tier web applications in Microsoft technologies
• Ability to direct others in manual testing processes
• Understanding of basic technology-neutral programming concepts
• Experience with testing web services written in WCF
• Experience testing desktop solutions written in WPF
• Expertise with test script programming
• Proficiency reading software in C#
• Understanding of relational database concepts and design
• Perform SQL queries as needed
• A 4+ year university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, computer engineering, business administration, or equivalent experience
• Bonus: experience in the mortgage lending, origination, or servicing industry

Systems Engineer Needed!

Job Description:
The Application Support Administrator/System Analyst position is responsible for providing application support and technical input for various enterprise applications including Microsoft Dynamics,Microsoft SharePoint, and K2 Workflow. This position will be a central point of contact to ensure stability, integrity, and efficiency of systems operations after they have been implemented and deployed.

In addition the candidate will be responsible for working with internal customers to understand business requirements, business processes, and contribute to definition of system requirements and designs to automate business processes. Position requires ability to work within a team of various BIS members to evaluate 3rd party applications to determine suitability and ensure fit within client’s Technology Roadmap. Must be capable of working with little supervision, have strong troubleshooting skills, and be an excellent communicator.


Responsibilities:

-Translate business requirements from internal customers into a easily understood system design diagrams
-Implement system designs into enterprise applications to automate business processes.
-Serve as technical contact for MS Dynamics, MS SharePoint, and K2 Workflow based enterprise solutions auto
-Provide Tier 2 and/or Tier 3 application support for customer issues encountered
-Maintain an understanding of client’s business practices, core values, and philosophy of information technology needs of the user community.
-Evaluate 3rd party applications to determine suitability for use in system designs based off of MS Dynamics, MS SharePoint, and K2 Workflow


Education
Required – minimum of Associates degree in computer science or similar field, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Related work experience may be substituted.

Work Experience:
5+ years of professional work with either Microsoft SharePoint 2010/2013 or MS Dynamics 4.0
2+ years of professional work experience with 3rd party Microsoft SharePoint related applications
2+ years K2 Workflow platform or other workflow management applications/tools
3+ years professional work experience with Microsoft Server Operating Systems Server 2008/2008 R2
2+ years of business analyst or process improvement experience.
